Goal:
I wish my clients to report to one manager in the morning from 08.00 AM - 06.00 PM and the same client to report to another management server from 06.00 PM - 08.00 AM and both the manager servers should have settings completed different from each other.
I can take care about the scheduling, can a client report to two managers with completely different settings, how to implement it and what would be complication if such an activity is performed. Will it affect the clients.
My present settings:
I have a primary server in production, i went ahead with the installation of my secondary server and installed SEPM and modified the conf.properties in SEPM folder-> tomcat-> etc->conf.properties.to "scm.agent.groupcreation=true" and in the secondary server changed i have unchecked "Download policies and content from the management server" also increased the heartbeat to 3 hours on the parent group and inheritance was checked in default
Went back to my primary server in production and changed the management server list by adding priority 2 and added the IP address and server name of the secondary server that i had just created. Clients all started reporting to this server once i turned off the primary and they created the groups and inherited the parent group(my company) settings( Heartbeat - 3hours, clients log transfer - No, Download policies and content from the management server - unchecked)
Manager 1: Will conduct all symantec activity client communication, updates, scan logs transfer, and client heartbeat is 30 minutes etc.. and this server will run between 6.00 PM to 8.00 AM
Manager 2: Clients will only communicate with this SEPM no updates will be done by the client cause i have unchecked "Download policies and content from the management server" and also i have also unchecked logs being uploaded to the managerment server and increased the heartbeat interval to 3 hours, i have also uncheked client log transfer to managem,ent server.

Is this right way?? or is there a better was to perform this activity if so please suggest the reason i have raised this concern is cause some cleints are not updating and some client reporting to the secondary are not reporting to the primary.
