unsere Lizenz ist auf dem Endpoint Protection Server abelaufen - leider verzögert es sich noch
bis wir von dem Händler eine neue bekommen.
Frage: Wäre es möglich, dass wir eine Update des "Managers" vornehmen auf die Version 12.1.6 MP3 (Nov. 15).
Hätte wir dann 30 Tage Zeit, bis wir diese lizenzieren können?

i have sepm 12.1.6 mp3 and my clients have the latest version with latest update.all feature is enables on their policy.i faced data.exe virus in my network witch SEP could not detect that.what should i do?

I have a Windows 2012 Server Core installed with SEP client 12.1.3. I am upgrading the SEP client version to 12.1.6.
I have exported un-manage SEP client 12.1.6 package and install it to Windows 2012 Server Core (using interactive option). After reboot, installation was successfull. However when I tried to open symcorpui.exe from the server, I encounter error "Symantec Endpoint Protection cannot open because some Symantec services are stopped. Restart the Symantec services, and then open Symantec Endpoint Protection".
I have checked the services and all Symantec services are running. Since the option to restart the SEP service is grey out, I restarted the server. After restart, I still encounter the same error/issue.
At first, I thought the issue is with the installation package or the server itself. So I export a new package and install it to another Windows 2012 Server Core and the same issue appeared. Have any of you guys encounter the issue before?

We have 12.1.6 initially we have installed SEP at that time when we creating SEP: client package either 32.-bit or 64-bit the size was very small, around lesss 100 MBafter some months when we creating new package for 32-bit or 64-bit the size going to over 600 MB. Any reason can we reduced this pacakge size.

we have a windows 2012 R2 - RAAS / Gateway server for the local workstations to use the internet. Now as I install the SEP client with the firewall on the RAAS / Gateway server, the local users are unable to browse the internet. Uninstalling the firewall component solves the issue.

How do I configure the firewall for the client server so that we can have the firewall and RAAS both working ?

I keep getting mulitple detections in for clients for 'W97M.Downloader which seem to be in a bit of a loop in that they are being picked up via DefWatch but keep coming back out of quarentine each day when the definition file is updated.
Im running RU5 on the clients and wondered if this is a known problem with that particular client version.
My work around is to delete the quarentine files and the defwatch folder at the same time which is a real pain!

During the console install, a Live Update Content Policy is created automatically. During my configuration, under Servers -> Local Site Properties -> LiveUpdate tab, I changed Content Types To Download to only get Extended File Attributes and only once daily (this is because I am required to run day behind definitions which are uploaded by a script from another server).
What is the difference and which takes precedence?

I have a customer who is having SEP 12.1, its a manufacturing company wherein Batch files is open accross all branch, End user access and edit file easily, here End Customer want to block this batch file to unathourised users, so just wanted to know is it possible with the help of SEP12.1, I mean can we blacklist or stop accessing the file to everyone. All the branch are connected in nework through LAN.

Hi Guys , I needed to know if there exists some logs that we can view to audit the activity of SEPM administrators . The use case sceneiro is like this
1) Tracking what policy change was done by what admin ( i.e adding , removing , deleting ) any policy
2) If any client was installed via the remote push by which admin
3) package was exported from SEPM by which admin
4) if any report was log or log was exported into excel by which admin from the SEPM. In short I was wondering that if there is any logs on SEPM console that we can view or report we can generate ( as a Site Admin full privalges) that will tell us the activity of any System admin if they have been playing with the SEPM Server.
The default logs that SEPM provies Logs > System > Admin Activity does provide us much info. It will only giving the information like login , logout , package export and client deletion. Only this info is being provided in this log.
Let me know if you have any ideas to extract the above mentioned information.
